Active as a teacher as well as a performer, Anna Hersey completed the Vocal Pedagogy Certificate program at the University of Minnesota under the tutelage of Professor Clifton Ware. She is founder and past president of the student National Association of Teachers of Singing chapter at the University of Minnesota, and received the "Best Paper Award" for voice science research presented at the 2006 NATS conference. She also presented research on Swedish lyric diction at the 2008 NATS conference in Nashville.
