Hello! I'm Brian Henke, a graduate student in electrical engineering at the University of Minnesota. My academic focus is in power systems engineering and controls. Currently, I am working on improving the accuracy of production costing models for utilities to use. I am advised by Bruce F. Wollenberg and am funded through the University of Minnesota's Center for Electric Energy. I am also a veteran, proudly serving in the Minnesota Air National Guard.
I received my BSEE from Minnesota in May 2009. My activities as an undergrad included being an undergraduate teaching assistant for Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering, working as the photovoltaic team leader for the UMN Solar Decathlon and working on air quality modeling for the Marshall Group with Dr. Julian Marshall in the Department of Civil Engineering. Glance at my resume, if you care to, I'm always looking for new and exciting opportunities.
Personally, I am passionate about the environment, travel, and outdoor recreation. In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, boating, running, cycling, and experiencing new things. Spending time with family is a must. I have a lifetime goal to run a marathon in every state! If you have any questions for me, feel free to email me. Thanks for stopping by!
