July 26, Friday 5:15pm 5:15 pm Meet at the playground at Hague Avenue on the east side of the Hamline Avenue bridge (Northside of Ayd Mill Road, in Lexington-Hamline) 5:30 p.m. Walk along Hamline Avenue, over Ayd Mill Road 5:45 p.m. End at the community garden for lemonade, sign-holding, information sharing and relaxing. (southside of Ayd Mill Road, in Snelling-Hamline) Join with other neighbors enduring Kelly's Ayd Mill Road test for lemonade and a parade on the Hamline Avenue bridge. It's a fun way to get together with other concerned residents, reconnect our neighborhoods and show passing motorists that we are concerned about the test. Last month's parade involved a few dozen residents, a couple bikes, some strollers and lots of popsicles. Join us for the next parade we can try to fill the sidewalk along the Hamline Avenue bridge with people. Mayor Kelly's given us lemons, so let's make lemonade and keep using our playgrounds and parks. Sponsored by Neighborhoods First! (Parades are fun!) > Do NOW: Contact the Environmental Quality Board, ask that the Ayd Mill Environmental Impact Statement rules be enforced. Since we did not get that Temporary Restraining Order to block the Ayd Mill "Test" our legal path is to go to the EQB (Minnesota Environmental Quality Board). So contact EQB members to get rules enforced: http://www.tc.umn.edu/~hause011/NF/EQB_address.txt and at the bottom of this email. Send email, letters, phone calls. > CONTACT LIST OF EQB MEMBERS. The Environmental Quality Board consists of 10 state agency commissioners or directors and five citizen members.
