Traffic Calming is one of our central strategies 
for controlling the Lexington - Randolf intersection 
used as the excuse to build an Ayd Mill freeway. Please
try to attend especially Thursday PM and Saturday AM events.

    May 16-19, with renowned author and speaker 
    David Engwicht.  

Schedule:

>> Thursday, May 17, 7 p.m.
   Great Hall, Metropolitan State University, Maria & E. Sixth St. 
   You are invited to hear David Engwicht address a gathering 
   of community activists, neighborhood residents and businesses.  
   A panel discussion will follow with lots of opportunity for 
   discussion and questions. 

>> Saturday, May 19, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 
   Arlington High School, 1495 Rice Street. 
   David Engwicht will lead discussions and workshops, 
   Metro area experts will also conduct traffic problem-solving 
   workshops, including our own David Koebrick (bicycles). 
   Continental breakfast and lunch will be available for a small donation. 

>> Wednesday, May 16, 3:30 p.m.  
   City Council Policy Session, 300 City Hall 
   David Engwicht will discuss traffic solutions. 
   including traffic signals, street narrowing, and diverters. 

>> Thursday, May 17, 8:30 a.m.  
   World Trade Center 3rd floor auditorium, 7th and Cedar Streets
   Planning professionals are invited to learn about Engwicht's 
   "Second Generation" traffic calming techniques. 
   To ensure your spot, please RSVP to Don Ludemann at 651-266-8567.  

>> Friday May 18, 8:30-11:30 a.m. 
   St. Paul neighbors are invited first-come, first-served to 
   a bus tour with city staff, neighborhood volunteers, city 
   councilmembers and David Engwicht to visit traffic "hot spots". 
   Our goal is to brainstorm solutions so that neighbors can 
   reclaim control of their streets safety. Space is 
   extremely limited. RSVP by calling 651-266-8567.

   ready to go at the DFL City Convention to choose the 
   Mayor candidate.  Both leading candidates, Jay Benanav 
   and Bob Long, support the "No connect" position!!
