Whenever we can plan a couple weeks of escape we try to arrange a European Holiday. It's absolutely the greatest place in the World for finding variety, history, scenery, culture & cuisine all within a short distance of wherever you 'hang your hat'.
It soon became obvious that 'hanging your hat' is much more comfortable and relaxing than 'packing your bags' every night to move to a new destination. So, we strive whenever possible to rent a residence for a period of from 1 to 3 weeks instead of moving from hotel to hotel. Because of Europe's concentrated proximity and the abundance of attractions in each region, it's not difficult to find meaningful day trips in order to be able to return 'home' each night to relax, sip, dine and share the events of your day with close family and friends.
You can share some of our memories of these European Holidays by moving on to these descriptive pages:
Villa San Martino near Urbino in Le Marche, Summer 2000
Vineyard Chateau near St. Remy in Provence, Summer 2003
Hilltop Villa near Barga in Tuscany, Summer 2005
Leisurely Tour of Central Scotland, Fall 2006
Breathtaking Cruise of the Danube, Fall 2007
