[Celebrate!]

We just got back from 2 more great spring breaks to the island, one in February when John was off from Law School and one in March when Tessa was on her School’s Spring Vacation.

We got a chance to relax by the pool, walk on the beach and boat in the bay. We tolerated the ‘Spring Breakers’, which were excessive during Texas Week and well-behaved during the rest of the month. We build our sandcastles and romped in the surf, but we also got out on our boat in the bay for cruising, fishing and dolphin watching. Phil && Sally Pickerill from Austin were also able to join us again this year.

In addition to enjoying the sunsets, margaritas and shrimps that we have come to know so well, we found a new treat this year. Many of the restaurants will fix your own catch of fish for you. Our favorite is the Gulf Coast Oyster Bar, and our favorite recipes there are Vera Cruz and Blackened Filets.>

Here’s a few photos of this year’s vacation:

[Sunset on the Bay] [ Sunrise on the Gulf]
We had great Sunrises! And great Sunsets!
