Fun

No coach, no bowl, but still fun!

It's been a long season for the marching band, with the football team struggling. However that doesn't mean the fun hasn't stopped for the Baritones. We Paddleforded, we post-paddleforded, the girls went shopping, the boys ate beef, we Baritone Dinnerd, the girls bought matching spandex to combat the boy's tights. And speaking of thights, the boys entertained the whole band with their performance of "Men in Tights".

For the rookies, the team doesn't always lose every game (we promise). For the seniors, this may not be the way they want to go out, but we still have each other, and we are still having fun.

Here's to hopefully updating the rest of the website soon! Beating Iowa, Illinois, and Michigan State! The Indoor concerts!

Spat Camp! Spat Camp! Spat Camp!

Tomorrow, school begins in earnest. But before we fill our minds with useless information that might get us a job some day, we must look back at Spat Camp 2010.

This year, 11 returning veteran's ranks were bolstered by the addition of nine rookies (and only three were stolen! Sorry Trumpets, Flutes, and Clarinets.) The vets and leadership were both amazed at the progress the rookies made with two less days of camp to learn all the marching and playing. There were many who said that our performances at convocation and elsewhere were some of the best we put on (no doubt because of the baritones). Camp concluded this year with a trip to the Great Minnesota Get-together; although it was later than usual, we still knocked out the crowd with our performance (and less than 5 funk gs in a row).

Four of the rookies have new nicknames and Topher is still Topher. A note to all vets and alum: No touching Jailbait for 14 more days. If you need music at another Baritone Wedding, contact DJ Diablo. Allison would like to remind all of us that "You can call her Al." Finally, if you take Topher to Grandpa's house, watch out for Grizz.

Here's to a good season and hopefully another bowl appearance. THUS ENDETH CAMPETH!

Baritone Weddings!!!

Well the Tones sucessfully completed wedding season 2010 with 3 weddings in 3 weeks.

The weddings were beautiful, fun, and in 2 cases taking rule 3 to the extreme (no intrasection dating) for the 5 Tones (Megan Ivers, Ryan Loeck, Kristi Hill, Ben Justin, and Laura Davey) and Scott Palmer (who we accept as our own even though he isn't a Tone) who were wed, all the Tones in attendence, the Tones standing as groomsmen (Adam Kimball) and bridesmaids (Kate Ivers and Joni Coleman), and Tones to perform at weddings (Karl Icenogle, Kate Ivers, and Megan Haugen).

- Megan Ivers and Scott Palmer 7/10/2010
- Kristi Hill and Ryan Loeck 7/17/2010
- Laura Davey and Ben Justin 7/24/2010

Congratulations Palmers, Loecks, and Justins! And remember, we want Baritone Babies!

4th of July Parade

Hopefully everyone has enjoyed their summer... 6 more weeks until spat camp. The Baritones were well represented at Minnesota's larges 4th of July parade in Delano, with 1/3 of last year's section in attendance. We can't wait to see all of you again, and meet the rookies for the first time.

Here's to a great 2010 season! Also Grover and Skywalker will keep up the website better this year.
