I'm a native of the Twin Cities and went to Wheaton College, IL for my undergraduate studies. I work with the space physics group at University of Minnesota, using spacecraft data to learn about where the energy to power the aurora comes from. Outside of studies, I enjoy reading, music, and playing board games. I'm looking forward to this year with the hope that GCF will be a resource to help students strengthen their relationship with the Lord.

2nd year, Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy

I'm a 2nd year MS-STEP (Masters in Science Technology and Environmental Policy) student at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. This is actually my second year in the US since coming here for studies from Sri Lanka. I love reading and sometimes writing. Given the chance I would sit behind a computer for hours, working on something or the other (web design, graphics and GAMES - RTS!!). Given the chance I would love to travel. Bit of a contradiction from behind a computer to traveling all over, get to know me and be surprised.

I'm a native of the Twin Cities, and am currently an MPP candidate at the Humphrey Institute. I went to the U of MN for my undergraduate studies as well. Outside of classes, I enjoy reading, running, and being with friends and family. Graduate school has opened my heart more and more to my daily need for Christ, and I praise Him for his grace and mercy. I am excited to serve GCF and see what God has in store for the U of MN.

My wife, Nancy, and I have been blessed to come alongside university students in CA and MN for more than 20 years.  We have 3 great children, Kirsti, Joel, and Hannah.  In August, we were blessed with a "child-in-law," Jeremy.  I enjoy riding bicycles, reading, and chatting with students as they practice living as Jesus' faithful followers and work out the implications of God's call on their lives.
