Chris Galdieri Welcome to my web site! I am finishing my dissertation, Leading with Values: How Presidential Candidates Define and Refine American Values, and teaching political science at St. Olaf College. My academic interests include political values, public opinion, political psychology, and campaigns and elections. I am particularly interested in the interplay between political elites and the mass public.

Prior to graduate school, I worked in government relations, as a writer for a website so far ahead of its time it went under during the Internet boom, and as a researcher at the Project for Excellence in Journalism. I received my undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, where I majored in American Government and minored in Studio Arts.

When I'm not doing or teaching political science, I spend my time changing diapers, updating my Netflix queue, and playing Wii Boxing.
