"Constitutional Public Interest Law: Litigating for Liberty"
About 60 students ate wraps while watching an
excellent panel discussion on Constitutional public interest law.
The panel discussed both full time and pro bono practice in a variety of areas
including religious liberty/First Amendment, civil rights, & property rights
litigation, as well as policy design aimed at restoring and strengthening
Constitutional individual liberties/responsibilities.

    Panelists:
  • Jordan Lorence, Chief Counsel for the Alliance Defense fund (specializing in First Amendment Religious Liberties and pro-life/pro-family law & litigation)
  • Kirk Kolbo & Larry Purdy, Attorneys at a major Minneapolis firm who -working pro bono with the Center for Individual Rights- recently argued against racial preferences before the U.S. Supreme Court
  • Kimberly Crockett, Executive Director of Minnesota's Lawyers' Division of the Federalist Society
  • Peter Nelson, U-MN Law student and former policy analyst at the Center for the American Experiment
