1. The New Year's event is just around the corner. The president, Yunqing You, reiterates the principle of the event, "Happy festival, high quality performance". All relevant projects are underway. FACSS has received funding and supports from grant-awarding organizations and local businesses. Other issues including decoration, karaoke preparation, game organization, and volunteers' assignment are discussed. We all look forward to a successful celebration

2. The vice president, Wei Zheng, introduces a student organization called Chinese Language Scholar (CLS). The main body of CLS is a group of Americans who are interested in and studying Chinese at the U. FACSS and CLS intent to cooperate with each other to set up a "Chinese Corner" to share language resources.

3. Ms. Zheng also proposes a draft plan of creating a club for single students and scholars. The purpose of the club is to provide single members with more opportunity to make friends. The title of the club is to be determined.

4. For community building, more volunteer opportunities will come at the end of February. Ms. Xiaowu Zhang will work for details.

5. Bin Wu announces FACSS will sponsor a badminton competition in late March or early April. The winner, as the representative of FACSS from the U, will participate in a larger range badminton competition for Midwest universities initiated by UCSSA.

6. Ms. Juan Wu briefly introduces the preparation of photograph competition at the U. Being the same with the badminton competition, the photograph competition at the U will be an integral part of UCSSA photograph competition.
