The 11th FACSS Board Meeting Minutes
Date: April 5th, 2003

Place: Room 202, St Paul Student Center

Present: Yunqing You, Yufeng Guo, Elizabeth Xue, Jia Zou, Xiaowu Zhang, Siqin Yang, Bin Wu, Debby Hsu, Yingjiu Nie, You Di, Chin S. To, Pusheng Zhang, Chunfang Zhao, Yihui Wang, and Liying Zhang

Announcements:

1. Welcome new members: Yihui Wang and Liying Zhang!
2. Treasure's report from Siqing Yang: FACSS runs in deficit of $500.00, excluding the carry forward of $4000.00 from the last board.
3. Membership update from You Di: nearly 296 (minor 4?)
4. Fee receiving status update: FACSS was recommended as a fee receiving organization for the next academic year in the amount of $10,000.00. The final decision is unclear yet till June.
5. Ongoing events update:
    i) There were two movie shows with participants of 80 and 20 respectively.
    ii)Badminton tournament:
         a) March 30, Male's Single Competition was performed with 10 participants. $29 is earned.
         b) April 6, Female's Single Competition will be held with 4 participants.
6. Photograph competition is postponed until July.
7. Academic exchange will be held on April 13. Four speakers are invited. Fundraising was completed with $1000 from Coke and $1000 from MSA.
8. Easter Party is schedule on April 26.
9. Chin elaborated the standardization of information exchange and web management.
10. FACSS's general election is scheduled on May 3.
11. UCSSA's May meeting is on May 24.
