EWB-UMN has teamed up with EWB MN Professionals to work with the Minnesota Academy in Ghana. The Minnesota Academy runs a school in Amponsah Akroase, with more than 1000 children and adults attending daily. Neither the town nor the school has a source of clean water for drinking, nor do they have a sanitation system to properly dispose of human wastes. Our chapters have agreed to work with the Minnesota Academy to help solve their water quality and sanitation problems. |

EWB-UMN and EWB Michigan Tech met in Minneapolis this weekend for the first annual EWB-North conference. The conference was a success, with excellent speakers addressing a range of relevant topics. EWB-UMN came out of this experience with a clearer picture about what we will have to prepare for to successfully complete our implementation trip in Guatemala.
We thank EWB Michigan Tech for their wonderful enthusiasm, and helpful advice. We look forward to the EWB-North 2007 Conference!
