EWB Boost
Our chapter has received $50,000 from the Institute on the Environment. This substantial support will bring us closer to our goals for this year as well as sustain the growth of our group. These funds will be directed towards the implementation trip of our phase II project in Uganda this summer, a summer assessment trip and future implementation of a Biogas Digester project in Haiti and the start and development of our Geo-wiki Project here on campus. Read more on the specifics in this Press Release from IonE at UMNews.

We are honored by IonE's support and excited to strengthen our partnership with such an outstanding institution. Check out their website at:

Helping Hands
In February 2007, the non-profit Uganda Rural Fund approached the U's chapter of Engineergs Without Borders to ask for help in providing clean drinking water and safe sanitation to the children of Hope Integrated Academy. EWB members did the research, designed the systems, rolleed up their sleeves, and worked make made the school children's lives better. See the video on the Driven to Discover page to see more of the work EWB is doing now.
