PLACEMENT NEEDED:  (11/5/04)

(From Mary Powell-McConnell, Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Mammalogy and

Ornithology, fed, state.)

| I was contacted by the USDA regarding a giraffe that needs placement. It

is believed to be a reticulated, intact bull 4-6 years of age. USDA sent

me some pictures & it certainly looks like a retic & in the pictures looks

to be in good health. This giraffe (Woody is his name) is at a small

non-AZA zoo in Nampa, Idaho (For The Birds Zoo). The county is planning on taking possession of this animal on 10 November so would need to get him moved out of there ASAP. Please contact me if you are interested in giving this giraffe a new home & I will provide you with

the contact information. Thanks.
