This WLREHAB list exists for the primary purpose of facilitating communication among wildlife rehabilitators worldwide. It is open to discussion of all areas of wildlife rehabilitation (caring for injured and orphaned wildlife with the ultimate goal of releasing them back into the wild when they are healthy).
Through the list, discussion and information gathering can be accomplished by wildlife rehabilitators as well as by other interested individuals. Topics commonly cover areas such as diet selection for various species, appropriate medical care for various problems, fundraising information, new methods in wildlife rehabilitation, "what do I do in this situation?" questions, and so forth.
List members have found this to be an extremely valuable, quick, and efficient form of communication among wildlife rehabilitators, veterinarians, wildlife biologists, researchers, and the many others on this list.
