Deer Town Park Rapids This is me age 3.1970 Irony at it's best. History of the chimmney .(Grandpa Determans' favorite camp spot.) Built during the civilian conservation corp in the 20's.Young men from the city came, hired by the government to plant trees.The army officer in command of the group had them build a cabin and the fireplace is what remains of this cabin. This is Pepper LaPoh. Weather it was pheasants,ducks,grouse or next door neighber. He was the best hunting dog ever! I have never seen his equal to this day.He past away after opening day pheasant 1986.  R.I.P. Pep! Dads' deer hunting camp site. Canvas tent is still in the rafters somewhere!
