On the Cost of Books
I do everything I can to keep the cost of your textbooks as low as possible, but each year this becomes more and more difficult as the cost of books and reprint permissions continues to increase. Please keep in mind that while I try to select the least expensive textbooks possible, I also try to provide you with the best education possible, and sometimes these goals conflict. When they do, I can sometimes find an acceptable compromise, but not always. In these cases, I opt for quality over cost, with the belief that education is an investment in your future. In the end, I would rather apologize for the cost of textbooks than apologize for offering you a second-rate education.
