It was eventually remodeled and opened in the fall of 2000 as John A. Johnson Achievement Plus Elementary School. Technically this school, at 740 York Ave, is just outside of Dayton's Bluff but many residents did attend it. There was a friendly neighborhood rivalry with Harding High School located at the corner of Third and Earl Streets, about a mile to the east. |
