I have read your e-mail and I am very happy for this contact with you .
As you are interested to receive my informations about the ancient history of
our family , I send you , with very pleasure , what I have.:
Heraldic Harchives of Milano :
CAPECCHI family
Native of France and descendant from Mario , brother of Corrado , viceroy of
Sicily , about 1040 year. Having take sides for the King Manfredi , was
persecuted from royal Angioini family . Consequently many people of Capecchi
family escaped from the South of Italy , and refuged some in Tuscany , and
others in Dalmazia.

The araldic bearing is described in the Heraldic Harchive Vallardi of Florence (
n.5414 lib. AR b.2 ) and is titled as follows : " CAPECCHI"
" Golden lion , red tongue , in the black background."

From another heraldic research
Is possible that the family name suffered dialectal modifications , diminutives
or mistakes of writing.
The ancient memories prove that the family name of CAPECCHI were , in the
beginning , CAPECE. This family derives from Sorrento in 1040 year .
Marino Capece , the brother of Corrado , viceroy of Sicily , passed through
Napoli during the time of Manfredi .This Capece family , having take sides for
the King Manfredi , was persecuted from Angioini family. Consequently many
people of this family escaped from the south of Italy , and refuged in Tuscany ,
and others in Dalmazia.
Many years after , reconciled with the royal family D'Angiņ , one part of Capece
people returned in Naples and received back the richness and feuds of which were
deprived.

I hope that will be possible to send you more informations about your family
from Borgo San Lorenzo , long before of Giuseppe.
I send my best wishes to you and your family.

I have to precise that in my first letter I sent you there is a mistake. In fact
I say to you that Capecchi people reached Tuscany in the year 1040. This is not
correct. In fact , as I say to you in my last e-mail , they reached Tuscany
during the time of King Manfredi , that is , probably , during the years from
1250 to 1260.
Certainly some of Capecchi people were present in the Battle of Montaperti ,
victoriously fighted in the year 1260 , near Siena near Arbia river, at side of
King Manfredi(Ghibellines) against the city of Florence (Ghuelph).
