This is a letter I received 3/29/99
Dear Joe and family,
My name is Jonathan Capecchi from Glasgow in Scotland.
First of all i really hope you don't mind me writing you but I am determined to
find some of the Capecchi's and keep in contact with them.
I am 16 years old and go to Cardonald College, I live with my mum and Dad (Anne
& Fred) and I have two brothers and one sister (Mark, Remo and Corinne)
My brother Mark actually lives in Florida with his wife and two children, he is
just as keen as me to find our relatives.
I don't know if you remember me but I e-mailed you 1-2 months ago and you got
back to me not knowing how I got your address, you also said that your two sons
where coming to the Edinburgh Festival
Anyway I would like to thank you for producing such a great web-page.
I regret to say however we know next to nothing about our history but reading
yours we feel that we have to be related to you in some way.
This is the little I know about our side: My GrandfatherRemo moved to Scotland
in about 1915-20 to marry my gran, he lived in a small city or town called LUCCA
very close to Florence with his family there. My Grandad died when my dad was
only 14 so that's why this is more or less all we know.
I noticed that there are 2 people in the Family tree that came from LUCCA but
there name isn't Capecchi.
Anyway even if we have nothing at all to do with each other, I would like to
keep in touch.
Do you have anyone in the family around the same age as me because I would love
to keep in touch with someone my own age also.
Sorry if you can't read my writing in this letter but I have injured my hand
playing soccer.
Here are some of my hobbies: Soccer, Skiing, Golf, Badminton, Tennis, Swimming
and generally just keeping fit but I love soccer and skiing.
I also love to travel and see different cultures and sites. I have been to
Portugal, Bulgaria, Austria, France, Spain, Greece, America (Florida many times)
and all over Britian.
