Stephan M. Cameron’s Webpage
Welcome to my webpage. This is a site for my academic and research postings. Currently, I am in the second year of the Ph.D. Graduate Program in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics at the University of Minnesota (Microbial Biochemistry & Biotechnology track).
In January 2006, I joined Prof. Larry Wackett's lab. In 2008, I completed a Master of Science in Microbial Engineering related to the production of petroleum-like hydrocarbons by microbes.
I have lived in the Twin Cities most of my life. Prior to graduate school, I worked as a junior scientist in the Microbiology Teaching Lab at the U of MN's Medical School for several years. Previously, I held positions in the information technology field, including four years with KRW International, an executive development firm in Minneapolis. As an undergraduate, I attended St. Olaf College where I studied art in France & Spain, worked in the Academic Computing Center and earned a B.A. in biology.
