When you are coming to the great state of Minnesota as a tourist, there are many things for you to do. Personally when I come to a new city I always go for the attractions. I think I am just like most tourists! In Minnesota you will be able to find many different, interesting attractions. I have singled out some of the most important attractions and sights that you should visit while you are in Minnesota. The top 10 things to do in Minnesota were hard to put together as there are so many. But I succeeded! Find my list below.
A major attraction in Minnesota that everyone knows aobut is the Mall Of America. The mall is extremely biggs inckluding over 500 stores and shops as well as an amusement park. About 12000 employees are working in the mall regularly. How crazy is that? There are many special attractions to be found within the Mall like the Dinosaur Walk, the Lego store (which is four stories high), flight simulators, indoor stock car racing and an underwater aquarium. I am sure one of these attractions will be of interest to you.
Let's start with the Amusement Park at the mall Of America. It has a roller coaster and a Ferris wheel which are located inside the building. It is actually the biggest park in America and offers over thirty rides. Seven acres inside the mall actually belong to the amusement park. Apart from the rides the park also offers a variety of different amusement park restaurants for you and your family to enjoy.
I really like the Dinosaur Walk at the Mall Of America. It is definitely a nice thing for dinosaur buffs to visit! There is only one other place in the United States that offer this kind of dinosaur experience. Don't be disappointed - the museum does not have the real bones of actual dinosaur, but they have real life size sculptures of the dinosaurs that look amazing. The actual visual affect is amazing and makes you realize exactly how big these creatures really were.
For everone who liked to play with Lego when he/she was young the Lego Store is a must-visit. It is four stories large. You can look, shop and even play all in one place. They have many Lego bricks for you to play with put together while you are in the store. And they offer a realy wide selection of lego toys. It is fun to shop and to play! A great experience!
Also the flight simulators are a major attraction at the Mall of America. The simulators you will find there are the same as what a real defense company will use to train actual pilots. Those of you who are interested in flying and planes will love it. It is great fun and will stay in your memory forever.
For NASCAR Racing enthusiasts: You have to visit the NASCAR Speedway located at the mall of America. You can ride the real cars on an indoor track. You will have the horsepower you crave!
Finnally you shouldn't go away from Minnesota without visiting the Underwater Aquarium. It is located under the Mall Of America and includes a three hundred foot long tunnel through which you can walk to view all the beautiful fish. The shark exhibits they have are awsome too.
