Party in Minneapolis - Nightlife in the City

Great nightlife in Minneapolis

I have to say that the nightlife in Minneapolis is really nice. There are so many places that you can go to while you are there. I have done a short list of the top posh clubs in Minneapolis. In case you need real time information Minneapolis Tourism Guide gives you up to date information of what is going on in the city. If you want to come to town check out this site for the latest events and happenings. Another option is to simply trust me with the options that I describe for you below. I have tested them all - so you should trust me!

On of the most famous clubs in Minneapolis is the one club that Prince made famous with the movie “Purple Rain.” You can find the club on First Avenue. The crowed there is usually very mixed. I really like the style of the club as it has a black color décor which makes it look pretty posh. Live Dj's are in the club on Thursdays and Saturdays and if you are a student, you can even go into the VIP room free. The only thing I often find annoying there is that the coat check line is always very long. Therefore, if you are at a event there leave before the encore is over so that you can get out in reasonable time. You need to remember that the coat check line may be longer than you expect. Leave before the encore is over to get through fast.

Next Y'All Come Back Now Saloon. This is a club you shoudl visito visit if you are into the gay scene. If not, you better stay out of it. It is always busy there I was told and is very popular with groups of girls too. They like all the funky clothes and the drinks said to be reasonably priced. You will mainly find people from the trendy under thirty crowd there.

Another great club is The Lounge. It looks more like a European nightclub and also has that special flair. If you go there don't wear jeans, t-shirts or sneakers. It is a very posh clubs and even some celebrities visit there, like Prince. This is why they also have a big VIP room. It is definitely a club that is more sophisticated. The music played there is very diverse - you will like it. On weekends the club is generally pretty crowded, but during the week you will actually have some room to dance.

The Wild Onion is one of the clubs in Minneapolis that looks like a traditional Chicago bar. It is actually one of my favourites to meet up with the boys and have a relaxing evening. They offer food too and ESPN is on every television in the place. A manly bar definitely. Not sure if women like it too much.

The Quest is a club that has movie décor. Basically the club looks as if it came from a movie - crazy! The club has several levels and a great mix of different music styles. Everyone will like it I guess. However, you will need to be prepared to stand in line to get in, especially on weekends. They have really professional bartenders that make awsome drinks and cocktails. Try it out!
