Christian Dating
Finding a partner online can be fun, and you can do it safely through Christian dating services. When you want to start looking online for like minded people, to build a relationship with that could lead to marriage, you would do well to avoid the obviously commercial web sites. Being a Christian on the other hand does not mean you don’t get to have your fun. On the contrary, God has planned a full life for everyone on this planet, and all we need do is to reach our goals in a respectable fashion.
Finding someone over the Internet
Like everything else in this world, the Internet too can be used or misused, it depends on you the user. On the other hand, some web sites are designed to lure you into the wrong path. When you want to find a good Christian to date, you need to look at the web sites designed for this purpose, and not the flashy commercial ones that are frequented to people with the wrong attitude-so include the words "Christian Dating" in your searches.
Nobody has the time to waste in today’s world and you would do well to try meeting people with a belief in God. Do remember that dating is supposed to lead to marriage, and there are no two ways about that. If, after a few dates you find that the person is not suitable for a long term relationship leading to marriage, you need to try and explain why. If this works, well and good, and if it doesn’t, you would do the right thing by moving on with your life and continuing your search, without looking back.
A few things you should keep in mind while dating
As already mentioned, dating someone is the beginning of a relationship hopefully leading to marriage. Always keep that in mind, always. We often hear questions from young Christians like “He loves me but I’m not sure if I should give in to his persistent requests for sexual intercourse, what do I do?”.
Well, what you do is tell him that he’s wrong to expect sex during dating, that’s not what Christian dating is about. If the person were a good Christian he would leave this matter aside in the first place.
However we are all human and can get carried away sometimes. Remind your partner that God has insisted on sex within the boundaries of marriage and sex outside it is against the will of God. He should understand this and wait patiently until you are married, and if he is still persistent, you need to get out of this relationship! We need to be in line with the word of God in every area of our lives to achieve success in that area.
