Membership is open to all University of Minnesota students. To become a member of the BMES, an application form must be completed and turned in, along with annual dues of $10 payable to the Society.

Resources Available for Members

• Discounts to Local resturants (listed on the back of your membership card). Resturants include: Erbert and Gerberts, Subway, Espresso Expose, Purple Onion, Manhattan Loft and Burger King
• Study room and lounge located on the 6 th floor of the Shepherd Labs building
• Industry Database listing Biomedical Engineering related companies profiles; their names, web sites, and contact information.
• Student comments of Biomedical Engineering classes (coming soon)

• Goldy Gameroom bowling and pizza social event
• Intramural sports; volleyball, ultimate Frisbee
• Business forum of local industry leaders to speak to students about the industry and to offer their advice
