Why are we Bharat?

Because the real name of our country is Bharat which is known to the world as India.

To foster awareness about India and enhance the understanding of India’s culture and way of life

What is the purpose of our website?

We use the website as one of the mediums to achieve our goals

Our activities are posted in activities page with upcoming, current and past events. Here you can also find the colorful Holi pictures which we celebrated the last semester

Calendar tab takes you to a quick view of the current events and activities of Bharat group

Services page has information of our collaborative service with other organizations and also gives you the information of some of the Indian religious places in Minneapolis

Contact us page gives contact information of not only the group but individual contact list of all the members of Bharat so that you can feel free to contact us based on your need

Web links page is a great place for you to just click the link you need and go to other websites. You have email links, news links, links to Indian History and all the famous website links through which you communicate with your friends. Make this as your home page and just go to web links page and enjoy the freedom

Couldn’t find some of the above mentioned information on web pages. Is there a problem?

We just launched our new website. So it might take some time to upload the information and we will be running the full form in a couple of weeks (As on 5th November, 2007)

How to join the group?

Simple, just send an email to bharat@umn.edu. Don’t forget to mention your details in the mail

How to become an active member of the group?

You have every right to contest in the elections for the position you opt for. We are looking forward to see you as one of the active members. We will inform you about the elections every semester through email

If a person registers for the mailing list of the group, how often does Bharat send them emails? Are the emails shared by other partners of the group?

Bharat group respects your privacy and we only send you a mail when we feel that it will benefit you. Most probably you might get one mail in two weeks. You can reply to the mail with the subject line unsubscribe if you want to be removed from the mailing list and we will remove your mail id from our database. We don’t share any of the members emails with third parties. Your emails are safe and secure with us
