Bridging the Gap Scholars' Dialogue

The Bridging the Gap Scholars' Dialogue is quickly approaching.

The BGAPSA Scholar's Dialogue will provide an opportunity for Black graduate students to present to other graduate students, faculty, and community members ongoing and completed research and analysis of topics relating to Health and the African Diaspora. The event will be held at the Urban Research and Outreach Center located on 2001 Plymouth Avenue, North Minneapolis, MN 55411. The Dialogue will take place on Tuesday November 8, 2011 from 5:30 pm to 7:30pm. However, refreshments prior to the dialogue form 5:00pm-5:30pm.

The discussion will take place between two very talented graduate students:

Dotty Gondwe is a Second year student in the Masters of Epidemiology Program. She will be presenting research from her Master's thesis 'Examining Recent Changes (2004-2008) in Sexual risk Behaviors for HIV Infection among Persons Ages 15-49.'

Saundra Crump is a doctoral student in the School of Nursing. She has recently defended her dissertation on 'African-American Seniors' Perspectives on Advance Care Planning'. Crump will share her research finding from her completed dissertation. Saundra is the first African American to defend her dissertation as a doctoral candidate at the School of Nursing
