Daniel Lynx Bernard edited and designed the May 2006 brochure Sharing Stories of Civic Engagement and wrote one of its articles, "Somali community’s political involvement matures: Immigrants overcome a past when activism could be fatal," pp. 6-9. Other articles were written by Stephanie Devitt, Tim Dykstal, James Lockwood, and Kelly O'Brien. The brochure was in support of the Minnesota Works Together project of Prof. Harry Boyte and the Center for Democracy and Citizenship at the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota.
