The Norwegian Explorers of Minnesota and the Friends of the Sherlock Holmes Collections at the University of Minnesota are sponsoring a conference to explore the world of Sherlock Holmes. The conference will take place July 6-8, 2007 at the Elmer L. Andersen Library at the University of Minnesota, home of the Sherlock Holmes Collections, the world’s largest collection of Sherlock Holmes-related material.

The conference will feature presentations, vendor tables, a silent auction of selected duplicate items from the Collections, an exhibit of rare and unique materials from the Collections, a performance of an Edith Meiser radio script by the Red-Throated League of the Norwegian Explorers, and the Annual Meeting of the Friends of the Sherlock Holmes Collections.

1:00 pm - The conference will officially begin at the Andersen Library with welcoming remarks from the Conference Co-Chairs. Our speakers are:

4:30 pm - Reception at the library, followed by the Friends of the Sherlock Holmes Collections Annual Meeting -- featuring the keynote address by Les Klinger

12:00 noon - Luncheon at the library (optional registration)

6:00 pm - Cocktail hour at the Holiday Inn Metrodome, a short walk from the Andersen Library
7:00 pm - Dinner at the Holiday Inn Metrodome, with a live auction of selected valuable items from the Collections and entertainment provided by The Red-Throated League of the Norwegian Explorers, who will perform a radio script by Edith Meiser (optional registration)
