I am interested in ecosystem ecology, biogeochemistry, climate change, tropical secondary forests, dendroecology, and remote sensing. I want to better understand interactions between the biosphere and the atmosphere and how those interactions affect and are affected by climate change. I see secondary forests as the forests of the future. Understanding how carbon cycling changes as these forests regenerate is critical for understanding the complexity of the global carbon cycle.
