Crystallization of Proteins in a Micro-fluidic CRYMA
Developing a continuous feed crystallization method that permits sampling of a wider range of conditions (than traditional methods), increasing the likelihood of obtaining a high quality crystal. Using this micro-fluidic technique with a modification that allows an electric field to be imposed upon the crystal, to increase crystal quality by “pre-aligning” macromolecules in a preferred direction. Extend the use of the imposed E-field with selective modification of an inert site on a protein to increase the electric dipole, to increase alignment
