Welcome | Scrapbook | Research Space | Classroom | Main Desk |

The Wilford Archaeology Lab"research space" . . .

is set up for researchers -- professional, avocational, and student. Information can be located geographically, chronologically, or by topic.

This section will be expanded on an ongoing basis, as additional information becomes available. Initially, the following access options are available.

Catalogs and Accession Records The accession records include the current catalog begun in 1929, the original 1881 catalog of the General Museum, Archaeology Collection. Eventually, selected information will also be available from the current catalog subvolumes, which contains detailed entries for the current volume.
Geographic Search Information organized geographically -- world by continent, region, country; United States by region or state; Minnesota by region or county.

This geographic key leads to site-specific pages, each of which has links to pertinent information for that site.

Slides The beginnings of a digitized Wilford Archaeology Lab slide collections. At present, accessible through a slide catalog number index (quick download); a more complete index that includes thumbnails, catalog number, caption and Photo CD reference information; or a thumbnail index for each Photo CD. Links to individual images are also provided on individual geographic (country, state, site, etc.) pages.

Library View e-text versions of various published and unpublished works, including theses and dissertations, newsletters, and other available documents. In some cases the entire document is available, in other cases only abstracts, table of contents, etc.
