Welcome to a PREVIEW of the Wilford Archaeology Lab on line.

The Wilford Archaeology Lab collections and records represent more than a century of inquiry into the history of Minnesota, the Midwest, and the world. This is the first step in an ongoing effort to make this information and these resources available to researchers, educators, and the general public.

First, we're working on digitizing our collection of nearly 6000 slides. These slides document field work, artifacts, and more. We hope to soon add notes and other written documentation, beginning with Lloyd Wilford's extensive typescripts documenting three decades of foundational archaeological research in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest.
