Experience hands-on history!

The Elliot Park Neighborhood Archaeology Project 2008

Wednesday, August 13th to Sunday, August 17th, 2008

9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily

The Elliot Park Neighborhood Archaeology Project is a five-day community event centered on excavation of a local, historic archaeological site.

For the fifth year in a row, archaeologists, students and community members will work together on exploring the history that lies buried beneath our feet.

Everyone is welcome! No experience needed.

This year's site is located on 17th Street East between Park and Chicago Avenues, on the edge of downtown Minneapolis.

If you would like to learn more . . .

Volunteers and visitors will need to sign a basic liability waiver, which you can download here and which will also be available at the site.

You can also view information on a few simple cautions and precautions relating to helping with archaeological field work.

You can download our poster or postcards.
