"I hate to pull your string, but..."

Today was launch day for the second return to flight mission of the space shuttle Discovery. I was sure to take advantage of my status at NASA Langley Research Center to watch the launch with NASA employees and their families on center. I also had a plan to post a video like what you see on the History Channel of ebullient engineers celebrating a successful launch.

However, lightning clouds scrubbed the launch today. The next attempt will occur around 3:30 P.M. Eastern Time.
