Ten Sounds I Like

  1. A woman’s high heeled shoes as she walks across a hardwood floor

  2. An idling jet plane on a tarmac

  3. A french horn playing a poignant melody

  4. Distant thunder

  5. When, in the movies, a large group of armed people lock and load their weapons all at the same time

  6. Sectarian choral chants

  7. The half-purr/half-gurgle my cat makes as she rubs herself against my leg

  8. Crickets in the bushes

  9. My fluid mechanics professor’s voice (a la Sean Connery)

  10. That very faint, high-pitched noise I hear when someone else is in the room (any body else experience this?)

I was bored so I checked out the lastest updated blog, thank you! I'm slightly less bored.

#5 is great, I've heard it in real life, which is totally awesome.

#10 Yes, I get this all the time, and I've never figured out why, and I was always worried I was the only one, but there was no one around to ask, cause if there is, you can't hear it. Glad I'm not hte only one

Erik!!
I just went over to your apartment to return your vacuum and I wore high heels so I could clomp around your hardwood floor and produce the sound you so desire but YOU WEREN'T HOME! boo.

wow, cool! thanks!
i was gonna say that #5 has evkes a completely different emotion when not in the movies. andy seems to disagree. i get the high pitch sound when i tv or monitor is on. it is very annoying. i would add the sound of a silk dress being unzippered but thats just me.

And what do you think about the sound of me cheering about the greatness of your post?
