After awhile the scale of glaciers, rocks, mountains started being almost overwhelming. We were ready to go back to our Lilliputian world where things change fast and small stuff matters, but it was so nice to get to look at it from the big perspective.

I hope you enjoyed this trip as much as we did and I hope you'll come to Alaska to see it for yourself, although you might want to take Henry Gannett's advice into consideration: "There is one word of advice and caution to be given those intending to visit Alaska for pleasure. If you are old, go by all means, but if you are young -- wait! The scenery of Alaska is much grander than anything else of the kind in the world. And it is not well to dull one's capacity for enjoyment by seeking the finest first."
