Introduction
Hi, I'm Michael Atherton. I am an educator, theorist, and iconoclast. I am
currently creating neural models of cognition that I hope will revolutionize
educational philosophy. I currently live in Minneapolis with my wife Christine and our
two children. If you would like to know a little more about my background take
a look at my Vita.
Research Interests
My primary interest is in cognitive neuroscience and its application
to education. I am working on models of cognitive processing
that accurately reflect how the brain functions and can also
be used as a pedagogical tools for elementary and secondary
teachers. I am also interested in cognitive transfer, creativity,
mathematics and science education, and homeschooling.
