o Kevin: considering showing a movie (Chinese Odyssey) this semester

o Dinner with affiliates
 Good feedback, way to connect with the other affiliates
o Ice skating
 No skates
 Finding/giving rides was chaotic. Next time, just suggest find own rides, take the bus
• GA Meeting for Tuesday, February 24, 2009 (10)
o Should be no longer than 40 minutes; updates, one game, discussion
o We need to shorten the length of our meetings
• Hug Day (Ellyn) (10)
o “Hug for happiness Day”
o After spring break, for 1 or 2 hours outside Coffman, most likely mall area
o Or wait until May, for Asian American Awareness month
• BAM collaboration – Angel Charity Gala (Wednesday, 3/11, Great Hall, 530-8pm)
o Need help setting up. $8 entrance fee. Name and logo on flyers.
o Kha and Sukee will be present.
• Possible 5k collaboration with University (4/19, Sunday, 10:10 am, on campus)
o Tentatively planning to collaborate with school
• Sigma Lambda Gamma – Teddies for Tots drive
o Will leave flyers and collection box in ASU from 2/16 to 3/4
• Possible Sigma Lambda Beta collaboration (10)
o Annual Cultural Celebration(Friday 3/27, Great Hall 6-9 PM)
o Looking for co-sponsoring, volunteers, marketing
 Help by posting fliers and stuff; have volunteers the night of the event as needed.
• MAASU updates (10)
o Schedule is posted for MAASU
• Advertise in Gopher Guide for 2009-2010?
o $275 for 1/3rd page. Worth it?

• 30th Annual ASU Spring Conference (20)
o April 4 or April 11?
 April 11: No comedian, 50/50 Kenichi, IBU is good to go, Seriously can, but would be giving up another gig, No display case, look into Dat Phan, Side Swipe instead?
 April 4: MAASU people can’t make it; Via-1 people can’t make it; HMSA can’t make it, CSAM can’t make it; wouldn’t have to change display case, the performers,
 VOTE: Move banquet to April 11th 2009
o Committee updates (Education, PR, Programming, Logistics)
 Education: All workshops will be the week of the banquet. Apr 6- 10
 PR: waiting for education to get dates set. Talked to Noa, he is willing to make a video.
 Programming: has a tentative schedule for the banquet
 Logistics: food is being worked on.
o Deciding on performers

 Dancers/Misc – Kenichi Ebina
 Comedian/MC – KT Tatara
 Speaker – pending
 UMN student groups – pending, CASA, PSA, CSAM, PERMIAS
• Questions, comments, additions
o PERMIAS: total: $5400, they have $3700 right now. As long as they fulfill office hours, we will volunteer and support $800
o Selling food in the room? We talked to GA about it; they liked the idea. Irene will be in charge of buying, cup ramen. More drinks, perhaps…we still have Jones soda in the office
o Kung Food- event? Coffman has two floor kitchens, two sets of stoves in second floor, potentially no stove on third floor. Not really feasible. wait until spring, do a grill-related event? Axed.
