• Position updates (yes, it’s at the beginning!)
• ASU brochures are in! (Meky)
• Vincent Who updates
o Awaiting response from Eric Hung
• Taiko Drumming updates (Kevin)
o Friday, 11/7 @ 5:30 in Armory Gym
o Need a microphone and speakers for the event
o Irene W is bringing a table for the food
o Irene, Irene and David will attend the JSA event, PR our event following theirs
o Be at the Armory at 5, with whatever you are assigned to bring.
o Crockpots: David, Amy, Vanessa bringing electric kettle
• AnySoldier updates (AnySoldier committee)
o $98 from the Bake Sale
o Reporter from KSTP came by, did a short interview
o Fliers are made, not yet printed; waiting on the pasta night details. Still deciding where to hold the pasta night. Considering moving it to Nov 21
o Add to all of our PR for other events that people should bring canned goods, etc. to our events
• MAASU updates (Jimmy)
o Registration for MAASU is now closed, send your check in ASAP if you haven’t already
• “Cultural Showcase” updates (Vanessa)
o Met with CASA, CSAM and PSA. CASA and PSA have agreed, CSAM probably will
o Still has to meet with KSA; has a meeting with HMSA and VSAM coming up
o Looking at the third week in February
o Has been telling affiliates that it is more of a professional event, with some cultural emphasis
o How does ASU plan to draw in attendance for the event?
o Vanessa will be heading a committee to better plan the event
• Winter Gala
o Date: Saturday, January 31, 2009
o Time: Probably 8pm-Midnight?
o Where: McNamara Alumni Center
o DJ: Dan Huynh

• 30th Annual ASU Spring Conference
o Week of 3/30 to 4/4
o Think of 1 committee that you want to be dedicated in
 Logistics – food, food permits, grants, coordinate volunteers for serving food, coordinating volunteers in general
 Programming – planning banquet, coordinating performances
 Education – week of workshops
 PR – marketing materials, posting events, generating event awareness, contacting press
 EVERYONE – look for performers-emcee-keynote speaker, teamwork, have fun
