• HMSA: Second workshop today was hosted…debate about politics
o Armory Room 116, on Halloween day 4:30-6 PM?
• Halloween – 10/24, President’s Room – Room opens up at 6pm, Event starts at 730pm
o Committee updates
PR
• PR will be pulling someone on rollerblades with a sheet on to PR event
• Fliers are handed out; printing more to hang out
• Chalking next week
Logistics
• Making the purchases next week
Decorations
• Bought decorations today
• Mock-up drawings of the rooms are done
• Keep an eye out for email about making decorations
• There will be designated tasks for set up; we only have 1.5 hours
Activities / Games
• Activities list is finalized; email Jimmy if you have any box ideas
• Look for a schedule in your email
• UND postponing their trip. Coming in November.
Should we plan something?
• Wait until we hear if they are actually coming
• Recap – Board checkups with Andy/Irene
o Make sure we are professional and mature in and outside the meetings
o Limit side conversations
o Try harder to come on time
o Avoid last minute disorganization – make sure all small details are figured out beforehand, so that everything is ready to be executed the day of
o Once something is voted on, lay it to rest unless it is really a big issue again
o We need to get out there more and interact with other organizations
• TASTE OF ASIA: APAC has hosted it in the past; we can do it this year as an event with all of our affiliates
• Recap – Andy/Irene’s checkups with affiliates
o Affiliates so far are extremely happy with the way things are going
o Everyone has the mindset of wanting to help out each other, and it’s working out this year
• Homecoming updates
o We are not doing it – not enough participation

• Taiko Drumming updates
o Armory is reserved for Friday Nov 7th 5:30-7 PM
o Emailed Mu Daiko to see if they are available on Thurs; lot of event conflicts with other groups
o 45 minute show; Event from 6-7, social event at 5:30, to give the drummers time to set-up.
o Nevermind, keeping the event on Friday; worked around the other event timing
o Japanese candies or rice crackers? Tea
o Buy 150 cups
• AnySolider updates
o There is a link on the ASU website called projects; the any soldier information is on there
o Bake sale Oct 27th
Each board member make something and bring it to sell (Be it Asian or brownieish)
o Ramen and Easy Mac lunch 11-2, Nov 5

o ASU’s goal for fundraising for Any Soldier: $500
