I. Spring Conference Reflections
a. Pros
i. Overall it went well
1. Banquet and workshops went well
2. Professional workshop was done a little differently but worked out well
3. Had more non Asian participants
a. Maybe the PRing to the dorms worked!
4. Good Band and performers
b. Cons
1. Turn out was a little disappointing, not a lot of people
a. Because other organizations were having events on the same night?
b. Maybe try letting affiliates know in advance?
c. Implies that the events have the same people
d. Lack of affiliate support?
2. Volunteers fell through too
a. Didn’t have it organized
b. Need to organize specific things more frequently
c. Have sign up sheets
3. Fortune Cookies/PRing
a. Do sign up sheets and instead of doing it indivisually
b. Establish that GA should be volunteering earlier
4. Get more participants in the shows
a. Good way to get better attendance
5. Logistics needs more people during the day of the show
a. Needs four people so that two can be driving
b. Food don’t forget about food and heaters at the last minute
6. Next Year we should try to PR for the Asian American Student Union as a whole
7. Have a really good Kick Off Month
a. Good way to get ASU’s name out there
8. Make a brochure to just having lying around
9. Book Keynote way in advance-> Get a big name
10. Talk to the affiliates more?
11. Bring our image up in order to make our affiliates like us more
II. Feed My Starving Children, April 19th, 7- 9 PM
a. Spots left?
i. 14 spots remaining
ii. Put up sign up sheets in ASU
b. Another e-mail to the GA
c. Meng might not be able to make it because she is playing at a wedding
III. Canned Food Drive, April 14th- April 2th, 2008
a. PR?
i. Want to make a big success
ii. Should work harder to PR this year
iii. Make a competition between groups
iv. Hand out fliers in classes? In front of Coffman?

i. Good site for ideas to get people to participate
c. Prize would be two gift certificate to Meky’s sister’s salon
d. 1 ticket for every three cans
IV. Rice Bowl/Dish… remind and confirm with GA about participation

b. Send out an e-mail to affiliates and GA ask them what dishes they are bring
V. Elections date?
a. Applications due date is on Friday, the 18th of April
b. Election date is on April 22nd, 2008 Tuesday
c. Request that they turn in a hard copy and an e-mail copy to ASU
VI. Questions/Comments/Concerns?
a. Speakers came to talk about Actifest Week
i. A week of events to promote different movements
ii. Looking for more student groups to participate/fund

iv. Would be a good PR for ASU

1. Go Fish

a. ASU will make the cakes
