November 15, 2006

I. Iron Chef/Culinary workshop update – Chris Em and Lulu
Where: Yudof Hall, floor kitchens for cooking, with clubroom as social gathering area, with occasional tour by ASU board members to kitchens to watch cooking
When: Dec. 2nd
Time: 11 AM-1 PM
Notes: $20 per affiliate group for ingredients, each group will make one dish; rating will be done by attendees; limit of four members per affiliate team and seven teams total, and send list to ASU; first-come, first-served for registration; choice of making appetizer and main dish, or dessert and main dish; submit list of ingredients and recipe to ASU and we will check and purchase a week prior; one hour for cooking/one hour for other; judged on presentation, creativity, and taste; judged by ASU board; bring your own cookware, contact ASU if you don’t have; Asian themed dishes

Location: Weisman Museum
Dates: Sat, Jan 27th

III. Spring Conference updates
Ideas for MC: Amy Anderson, At Last (requesting $6000)
Shirt ideas: Tony will create an updated version, fewer colors, think on colors for t-shirt

IV. Board schedules for next semester
Earlier start time possible? Wednesday’s at 5:00
Send out email to GA about possible new start time

V. UMN Paid Research Opportunity
Fundraiser opportunity; researcher can not attend our meeting, but can send along questionnaire, and attend focus group at later time

VI. Room clean-up immediately following meeting!

VII. Comments/concerns/feedback
Business Relations update: restaurants contacted and replies received; coupon book liason (offer of $500 for distributing 15000 coupon books, and adding our name to coupon book)
Email agenda beforehand, and after meeting
