Tech Fest
On Saturday, February 25th, The Works Museum will be having their annual Tech Fest, an event for kids aged 5-12 featuring hands-on science experiments. If you have any interest in volunteering at the event, please respond to this email. There will be two shifts split between 8 am and 5 pm. We are just looking for interest, so if you would like to learn more, let us know.

MAN VS MACHINE PUMPKIN SMASH
We will be releasing our pumpkin smashing devices that we designed to destroy pumpkins. People will have their chance to see if they have what it takes to beat the machines. We will be giving out prizes to the champions! Pizza, drinks, and PUMPKIN PIE will be provided during the event.

TECH ELECTIVE LUNCH!
ASME is hosting a technical elective lunch to introduce people to the electives that the ME department is offering for Fall 2011. Class registration is coming up and if you don't know what tech electives to take, join us to listen to professors talk about what their class is about. We will be serving subs and refreshments.

ASME Officer Nominations
It is almost election time and we need new officers. Many of our current officers are graduating and if you are interested in any of the positions, please come to the meeting to get more information! Being an ASME officer is a lot of fun and a great way to meet people.

ASME is hosting this semester's first general meeting on Wed. January 19th! With the job fair just around the corner, we want you to be able to get your foot in the door with Cummins. They will be providing food and beverages and telling you what they have to offer in terms of jobs and internships.

General Meeting
ASME is hosting a general meeting on Tuesday February 15th! The meeting is sponsored by Schlumberger and they will be providing food and beverages. SUMMIT BREWERY TOUR
ASME is taking 25 people to go on a tour of the Summit brewery. You must sign up if you want to go since there is limited spots. If you are interested in going please sign up on the bulletin board in the ASME Lounge (ME 1121) and indicate if you are able to drive. **You do not have to be 21 to go**

POKER TOURNAMENT!
ASME is hosting a poker tournament on Wed. Nov. 17th in the ASME lounge! There will be snacks and prizes for the winners! Bring you friends (even if they are not in Mechanical Engineering!!)
