Alpha Sigma Kappa grew out of a Little Sisters of Triangle organization, dating back to 1983. In the late 1980s, Triangle Fraternities' National Council resolved to phase out their Little Sister program, hence the sorority was born. Alpha Sigma Kappa - Women in Technical Studies was founded with eighteen members on May 1st, 1989.

Philanthropy- Our official philanthropy event is Relay for Life. Each year we raise money and participate in this amazing experience to fund for cancer research.
Outside of Relay for Life, we also volunteer in various exploratory science programs like TechFest, The Math and Science Family Fun Fair, and Chemistry in the Library.
Greek Life-"No matter the letter, we're all Greek together"
As a social sorority, we participate in many events with our surrounding Greek community: Spring Jam, Sweetheart Week, etc.
Sisterhood-As a member of Alpha Sigma Kappa, we are not only friends, but a family of sisters. We make time to get together and reinforce our bonds through events, coffee breaks, and Founder's Day Events.
