dawn m. armfield is a PhD student in Rhetoric and Scientific and Technical Communication in the Writing Studies Department at the University of Minnesota. Previous to that she was an instructional technologist for the e-Learning Center at Northern Arizona University.
She earned an M.A. in English with a focus in Literacy, Technology, and Professional Writing from Northern Arizona University. Her research agenda includes identity research, online communities (specifically social networks), visual rhetoric, and feminist theory. Her past research includes a Master's thesis entitled "Self-Representation: Women in Online Communities."
dawn teaches courses in technical and professional writing and technology in the classroom.
