One Hosta Bed

My largest hosta bed is about 30 feet long and 8 feet wide. It is in the shade of two large oaks, one of which can bee seen in the background of each photo. The photo to the left was taken facing north. The nearest plants are H. 'Krossa Regal'. The taller one in back of them is H. 'Regal Splendor', a sport of H. 'Krossa Regal'. This and the photo immediately below were both taken by my wife, Phyllis Stromberg.

The photo below is of the same bed taken facing south. In the lower right is H. 'Green Gold'. There is a close-up of it in another location in this website. The plant in the lower left if H. 'Sea Gold Star.' Barely visible in the lower center of the photo is H. 'Lemon Lime' which also is shown in close-up elsewhere in this site. The hostas are interspersed with ferns, bergenia, false Solomon's Seal and a few impatiens.

Finally, scroll to the bottom of the page to see a photo taken facing north but at a slightly different angle. The large blue hosta near the center is H. 'Aoki'. The large gold plant just visible at the bottom is H. 'August Moon'.
