H. 'Christmas Tree'

H. 'Christmas Tree' is a large hosta, about 20 inches high with a spread of 36 inches. It is a hybrid descended from H. 'Frances Williams'. It is a spectacular plant, with deeply puckered leaves and creamy white margins. It blooms in mid-season here in USDA zone 4. The flowers are lavender and bell shaped. H. 'Christmas Tree' was registered in 1982 by noted hosta hybridizer Mildred Seaver. The plant pictured was a gift from Dr. Bob Olson, but is readily available from nurseries specializing in hostas.
