Even though this shot from near ground level overemphasizes the size of this plant, it is still a quite large hosta. 'Aoki' as having "dark green leaves with glaucous (whitish bloom) underside." In my garden it is more a blue-grey color. It is a prolific bloomer, with large white flowers in August. It also sets seed, but I have been unable to germinate any of them. A very showy specimen plant.
